The following Terms and Conditions regulate the customer at Silhouette Furniture

1. Standard manufacturing time is +/- 4 to 6 weeks (custom design 6-8 weeks) and excludes the actual time for delivery, unless otherwise specified in writing. Manufacturing time of large quantity orders will always be specified.

2. A signed order and 50% deposit secures your order.

3. Delivery will only be arranged once the final balance payment has been done and the money reflects on our bank account.

4. Ownership of the goods will rest with Silhouette Furniture until payment has been received in full.

5. If after 30 days of notification by Silhouette Furniture that your goods are ready for delivery, you as the customer fail to make final payment, Silhouette Furniture reserves the right to sell them to defray expenses.

6. It is the customer’s responsibility to check the furniture thoroughly upon delivery. If any damage caused by transport/delivery is noticed, the item must not be accepted or signed for by the customer. Instead, the customer must immediately send the damaged item back to the factory with the same delivery truck on the same day. Failing to do so, the customer will be responsible for all the repair and transport costs.

7. Once the customer signed and accept an item, Silhouette Furniture will not be responsible for any future claims against damages caused by transport or delivery. In the event of Silhouette Furniture agreeing to refund monies paid either prior to or post delivery due to circumstances unrelated to product quality or lead times, and If Silhouette Furniture agrees to accept return of any goods, the Customer will be liable for a 10% handling charge calculated on the purchase price of those goods. The onus of proof of return and proof of purchase rests with the customer at all times.

8. Clients can make written changes within 48 hours of placement of the order, but no changes can be made after. This is because our production process has started and the raw materials have been ordered or used. We will try and accommodate changes where possible because we want happy customers, but Silhouette Furniture reserves the right and discretion to make such changes after the 48-hour period.

Delivery Policy:

a) Deliveries will be supplied by Silhouette Furniture subject to your address being within our designated delivery zones and you will be charged accordingly on your invoice.

b) Deliveries will be available from Monday to Saturday.

c) For deliveries outside our designated zones, you will be contacted by our factory to confirm delivery price and delivery instructions.

d) For collection of goods from the Silhouette Furniture factory, prior arrangement and acknowledgement is essential prior to such collection. Please note that no goods will be given to outside transporters unless Silhouette Furniture has been paid in full for such goods. Proof of payment in full must be on hand for any goods to be released. In the event of outside contractors collecting on behalf of a customer, Silhouette Furniture may in addition to proof of payment in full, contact the customer to confirm proceedings. Payments made by EFT (Electronic funds Transfer) require a 48 hour period to clear funds and allocate them to the orders.

COLOURS

The colours of our products shown on this website may look different on your computer compared with the colour of the actual product. This is because different computers display colour's differently depending on the type of computer screen (LCD, plasma, desktop, laptop etc). For this reason it is strongly recommended that you visit one of our factory to see the actual colour of the item. Silhouette Furniture cannot be held responsible for any mistakes in ordering items whose actual colour is different from that appearing on the website as viewed on your computer.

GUARENTEE

Life Time Guarantee – Workmanship and Frame*

Each item of furniture is hand welded by our team of experts. This workmanship has a life time guarantee. The aluminum frame also has a lifetime guarantee against rusting.

Powder coating

This Guarantee is for two years, but this excludes any damage caused by neglect/mis-use. To care for and clean powder coated furniture, simply wash with a hose and leave to dry. If it is very dirty, use a soft, non-abrasive cloth and soapy water.

Fibreweave

The fibrecane weave is UV stabilized – will not fade - 2 year guarantee. If you are based in a moist climate, where mildew is eminent, it is suggested that you clean down the weave with warm soapy water, especially underneath the items of furniture.

Tabletop

Fibreglass top – 2 year guarantee Use heat resistance placemats to prevent direct, high heat to the table surface Ensure the domed air vents on the underside of the table is not obstructed or submerged in water.

The Guarantee falls null and void if any damage has resulted from misuse, abuse, neglect or any environmental hazards. Claims will not be entertained by non compliance of the above care instructions. Each case will be assessed and the relevant course of action will be taken to ensure the best possible service
